What what?

All righty!

Hand in date is coming up and I think we are on schedule.

As told earlier in the blog I am working with Liam, Kai and Luke on this project and we are doing the ‘what’ project in 3Dstyle.

I’ve been in charge of most of the concept art for this project and some of the pre production stuff.

I’ve made the backgrounds for the scenes, and I made the design for the forest.

I’ve also done some of the modelling for the scenes.

Making the trees was fun. I used the curve tool and the loft method to make them.

I also modelled the science room in the beginning of the film.

The boys had to put in a science bed and a lamp thingy though, because the room looked too empty.

I’m glad I got to work with the guys because it’s given me a chance to learn how to use Maya a bit more.

Hopefully we’ll have it done in time. So far it looks pretty good!

I've posted some concept art and items as a little preview ;>

Experimental Sketchbook

Alrighty tighty!
Here's some of the work I've done for our Experimental Sketchbook.
The first week I picked different objects per day. (Trees and bushes, cars, hands and feet, electric, food, vessels and containers, fabric)

The second week I pulled some words out of a hat, and this weeks words were carton, fag butts, jewelery, country, banana, magic, and sadness.

What?

Summer term is up and running, and one of the projects we have this term is the "what" project.

We get to do what ever we want, but we need to include the word ‘what’ five times in what ever we chose to do. I've grouped up with Liam, Kai and Luke, and we’re doing a 3D animation.

I’m in charge of most of the concept art, so I thought I’d upload some of the stuff I’ve done since we started with the project.

Our animation is about a cleaner who is drawn into a different world.

And here is the animatic for it:

We've started modelling the scenes.

I think the forest is going to be the best part of the modelling because I like the 'mystic’ look of it.

I've also added some of the drawings of the rooms in the building.

We started out with this character here, but we had to change him into something easier, and ended up with a more cartoony character.
