We made a whiteboard animation during our studio practice today.

The Love Dance

This week the assignment was to make Mr Cubie jump, stretch, squash and so on in Maya.

I was reading a comic about seahorses and how they do a dance every morning to express how they feel about each other. Thought it was a nice thing to do, and that's what inspired me to do this animation.

After Maya shutting down on me twice (and me forgetting to save my work) I finally got the two bouncing balls done.

My first animation

Did my first 2D animation this week. \o/
The assignment was to turn a circle into what ever shape you wanted using 12 drawings.
I chose to turn it into something I’ve been looking for since I moved to England.
A Norwegian cheese carver! (Obviously impossible to get a hold of here)

It was great fun making this animation, and all though it’s not top notch animation I feel a little bit proud.
And I’ve learned that when you’re working with animation like this always remember to make the letters inverted…
